It burns whatever is left on your Apple Account to exactly zero. You type in the amount, Balance Burn picks in-app purchases that add up to exactly that figure, you confirm them, and the balance that was blocking your region change is gone.

In Settings → your name → Payment & Shipping, or on your profile page in the App Store. No app can read it for you, so you type it in — the app's "Where do I find my balance?" guide shows the way.

It looks at the prices in your own App Store and finds a set of purchases that adds up to exactly your balance. The plan is picked for you automatically, and you see all of it before anything is bought.

No need to: the plan already adds up to your balance exactly. If you want a different amount, change the balance you typed in. Nothing is bought until you confirm at checkout.

Balance Burn tells you the closest amounts it can burn and how much to top up. Add that — with a gift card, for example — and it burns the new total to exactly zero.

Yes — Balance Burn uses your own App Store's prices, in your own currency. Its price sets are tuned for the US, Russia, Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Romania, Hungary, Poland and India, so there a balance lands on exactly zero far more often.

The developer can't issue refunds, pay out a remaining Apple Account balance, or even see it.

Refunds for in-app purchases are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, under Apple's own rules.

Because your balance took more than one purchase, and Apple confirms each one separately. Checkout tells you how many confirmations to expect before you start.

No. Every purchase goes through Apple's own payment system; the developer never sees your card details. The balance you type in stays on your phone, and there's no sign-up and no tracking.
