On the Mac App StoreCapture a region, a window or a whole screen from the menu bar, annotate it, pixelate anything that shouldn't be shared, then copy or save it. Two weeks free, then one yearly subscription. Sandboxed, no account, no telemetry.
Finsumo
On the App StoreA multi-currency expense tracker for iPhone and iPad. Record what you spent in dollars, baht, dong, USDT, USDC or Bitcoin and read the total back in whichever currency you think in — each entry keeps the rate it was made at, so your history never re-prices itself. On-device, offline-first, no bank-account linking.
PassSumo
On the Mac App StoreA password manager built on the open KDBX format: local first, no
account to create, and no vault sitting on somebody else's server as a condition of
using it. Your .kdbx file lives in iCloud Drive or on local disk,
wherever you put it.
Balance Burn
On the App StoreApple won't change your Apple Account region while any balance is left on it, down to the last cent, and there is no way to withdraw it. Type in what you have and Balance Burn works out the exact set of small in-app purchases that adds up to it — not close, exactly. On-device, no account.
Notixy
Coming soon to the App StoreNotifications on your terms, for iPhone. A business can reach you only after you subscribe, and only in the categories you allow: choose which senders get through, set quiet hours and a daily limit, and unsubscribe, block or report in one tap. Free for users, no account, no ads and no tracking.
The rules
What every app here has in common.
These are not marketing lines picked per product. They are the reason these apps exist, and the first one that gets broken is the day this stops being worth doing.
- NOTelemetry. No analytics, no usage statistics, no crash reporting.
- NOAds or trackers. No third-party SDKs of any kind.
- NOMandatory cloud. Your data lives on your device. Nothing is uploaded as a condition of the app working.
- NOAccounts. Nothing to sign up for, nothing to log into.
- YESNative code. Swift and Apple's own frameworks. No bundled browser, no cross-platform runtime.
- YESPaid, through the App Store. A free trial, then one subscription for the whole app — never a feature quietly taken away from you.
Who's behind this. One developer, working on these in the evenings. Each app ships with its own privacy policy and terms stating exactly what that app does and does not do — read the specific product's pages rather than trusting this one, because this page is the marketing and those pages are the commitment.
