Notixy Desk
Privacy Policy
Overview
Notixy Desk is an iPhone app for a small business (a “member”) to send notifications to its subscribers, who receive them in the separate Notixy app, and to keep the business’s bookings, clients, services, scheduled sends and reminders. It is an independent project made and operated by an individual developer, not a company. Notixy Desk has no advertising, no tracking, no analytics and no third-party SDKs, and does not sell data.
Who it is for
Notixy Desk and the service behind it are for users aged 18 or older, who use them for their business. They are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If you believe the data of someone under 18 should be removed, use the feedback form.
Accounts
The app has no sign-up, no purchases and no third-party sign-in. A member account is created by the Notixy team; you can ask for one through the “Request access” form described below. You sign in with a login and password, which the app sends to the developer’s servers to sign you in; the password is not stored on your device.
Access requests
If your business has no account yet, the sign-in screen has a “Request access” form. You give an email address (required) and, if you wish, a business name and a comment. The app sends them to the developer’s servers, where they are stored as an access request. The Notixy team uses the request only to create an account for you and to contact you about it; no account is created automatically. If you send another request from the same email address, it updates the pending one. The request is not used for advertising and is not shared with anyone. To have your request deleted, ask through the feedback form and say which email address you used.
What is stored on your device
- a session token, in the iPhone Keychain, so that you stay signed in;
- your preferences, such as the language and the selected sender, on the device only; they are never sent anywhere.
What is stored on the developer’s servers
The app keeps the following on the developer’s servers, so that it works and can be used on your business’s behalf:
- your member account: your login, your sender and display name, and your session;
- your clients: a label you choose and notes you write. The app has no phone, email or address field for clients, and it never reads your address book;
- your bookings, services, scheduled sends and reminder rules;
- the messages you send and their delivery to your subscribers;
- for each subscriber, an identifier and the nickname the subscriber chose to share with you, which the app shows to you.
Client data and booking data belong to your business. The developer’s service processes it on your behalf, only to provide the app’s functions, and does not use it for advertising, profiling or analytics. You are responsible for having the right to keep information about your clients and for what you write in notes.
What the app contacts directly
- The developer’s servers: for everything above. Like any server, they receive the IP address of the device making a request and may log standard web-server data as part of normal operation.
- Cloudflare and api.country.is: each time the app starts, it asks Cloudflare (cloudflare.com) which country your IP address is in and, if that fails, asks api.country.is, so that it can choose the nearest server. Those services see your IP address and the request itself, as any web service does, and receive no identifier and nothing else from the app. The result is not stored. The app uses no location permission.
No advertising, no tracking
Notixy Desk contains no advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs and no advertising identifiers. We do not sell your data and do not share it with anyone for their own purposes.
This website
This site is static HTML with no cookies, no analytics, and no tracking scripts of any kind. The one page that sends anything anywhere is the feedback form, and it sends what you type into it — your message, an email address if you chose to leave one, and which app the message is about. That submission is handled by the site’s hosting provider, which forwards it through a third-party messaging service to a private chat the developer reads; the message, the optional email address, and the app name all sit with that third party. Messages stay in that chat until deleted by hand — nothing removes them automatically. None of it is used for anything other than replying to you.
Deleting your account and data
Accounts are created and deleted by the Notixy team, so the app has no delete button. To have your account and the data stored with it deleted, ask through the feedback form and say which account you mean. Deleting the app from your device removes only what is stored on the device; it does not by itself remove server-side data.
Who is responsible
Notixy Desk is made and operated by an independent individual developer, not a company. The feedback form is the way to reach them.
